Project Assistant

Department: Contracting
Location: Kokomo, Indiana
Classification: Part Time (15-20 hours per week), In-Person
Schedule: Three days a week

We are seeking a Project Assistant who has administrative experience, preferably in the construction industry. The Ideal candidate should be detail oriented, self-motivated, have a great attitude, function well working with a team, and have good written and verbal communication skills.

Required Qualifications/Skills:
  • Working knowledge & proficient with Microsoft Office (Outlook, Word, Excel, etc.)
  • High School diploma
  • Ability to work independently
General Responsibilities:
  • Combine and submit project equipment submittals to owners, general contractors, etc. as instructed by project managers.
  • Draft/send contracts and purchase orders to subcontractors and vendors.
  • Request and track submission of certificates of insurance per contract obligations.
  • Communicate submittal responses back to subcontractors and vendors.
  • Collect operations and maintenance manual data from subcontractors/vendors to compile for submission upon project completion.
  • Research documentation discrepancies/issues as needed and communicate issues with project managers.
  • Follows all company policies and procedures.
